Riders who like megaloops big and powerful can select the CIT’s freestyle setting whereas wave riders can choose the wave mode for tighter loops. The wave mode also makes the kite turn faster, increases depower and doesn’t pull you off your strapless board. We can’t forget to mention the CIT’s standard setting. In all-round mode, the Nexus pulls a little more, increases hangtime and turns a little slower. Perfect behaviors for newer kiters, and anyone who prefers a more relaxed riding style.

The benchmark for performance Dacron. No-stretch ExoTex Dacron incorporates a unique radial reinforcing thread pattern and emulsion (protective coating) process that enables higher pressure airframes with smaller diameters. ExoTex improves airflow, flight stability, and rider feedback by substantially increasing tube strength and rigidity despite reducing diameters. Expect smooth airflow, snappy turns, and endless smiles on your new Nexus.
Core Intelligent System:
Custom fit your Nexus to your riding style. Start by selecting your favorite CIT mode on the leading edge bridle connection points. The wave mode makes the kite turn faster, increases depower and doesn’t pull you off your strapless board. It also provides more lift when you pull on the bar making foot changes a snap. The freestyle mode increases your turn radius, stabilizes the kite for easier freestyle moves, and provides a little extra grunt. The kite comes out of the bag in allround mode which provides excellent depower, grunt, and hangtime.
Speed Valve 2:
Take a deep breath in, then out. The Core Nexus valve will accept all standard pump hoses without attachments.
This provides the SPEED VALVE 2 with the biggest, physically possible, flow of air. It’s simply not possible to pump up a kite with less effort and in less time. Even deflating the kite is noticeably quicker and easier too.
Core Nexus LW 15m and 17m:
There are very few sports like kitesurfing where only a small amount of wind is required to enjoy yourself and the newly designed Nexus lightwind, that's available in 15 and 17 sqm, makes life even easier. Responding to just the lightest of breeze, with speed and agility, it will let you enjoy yourself in less than perfect light wind conditions and put a smile all over your face.
The Nexus Lightwind gives a playful and freestyle type ride. The Lightwind is not just a scaled up version of the Nexus and although the kite has been designed around the light weight three strut chassis and technology of its smaller siblings, there are fundamental changes, such as a lower profile, rounder tips, thinner tubing and the use of CORE's patented lightweight material CoreTex® Light.
Speed Profile:
The LW version of the Nexus has a much flatter flight profile, allowing the kite to accelerate faster and produce its own wind, which is converted into additional propulsion. This design also allows for reduced wind resistance and unwanted lateral tension resulting in both Lightwinds going extremely well and effectively upwind. The turning speed of the Nexus can be adjusted at the kite tips. This trimming is easy and intuitive; you simply move a little knot.
Slim Struts:
The Nexus Lightwind has thinner tubes than the smaller kites in the Nexus range and benefits from this in three different ways. Firstly the tubes have been designed using less material, so therefore less weight. Secondly the tubes are thinner making the kites more flexible, which in turn allows for a quicker response time to a rider's command and thirdly the tubes have been redesigned and adapted to have an optimum flight profile, which in turn lets you go upwind even earlier and effectively.

Core have reduced the heavier Dacron material to just a few areas in the tips, a small area behind the leading edge and also on the trailing edge. Basically all areas that are considered to need special protection during launching and landing.
